Enrollment and Management for Account Holders
Chimney Home offers a flexible, user-friendly enrollment process designed to provide account holders with seamless access to valuable home value tracking and equity insights. Whether through auto-enrollment or a targeted opt-in model, Chimney Home ensures homeowners can quickly engage with their property’s financial data in just a few simple steps.
Overview of the enrollment process
The enrollment process is streamlined into a simple three-step verification to educate homeowners on the value of the solution as well as verify that the account holder is indeed the property owner. Financial institutions have a number of different ways to communicate the features to homeowners, the below process outlines the experience once they start enrollment.
Step 1: Home Banking Tile
Before enrolling, account holders will see a tile on their account page within their banking app. This tile introduces them to Chimney Home and its benefits, such as tracking home value, equity and offers.
- Current Homeowners will be prompted to check their home value and enroll.
- Non-Homeowners will be prompted to click "I don't own a home and then be able to dismiss the tile.
Step 2: Owner Name
The second step is to verify the name of the owner. This ensures that the system is tracking the correct property, and matches the account holder’s financial profile.
Step 3: Address Confirmation
The third step is to verify the address of the property they own. This ensures that the system is tracking the correct property, and matches the account holder’s financial profile.
Step 3: Owner Verification
Chimney Home verifies the homeowner’s name against public property records using an advanced matching algorithm. This step confirms that the account holder is the rightful property owner, ensuring accuracy and a personalized experience.
Note that the data Chimney presents is publicly available and not sensitive PII. While it's highly unlikely, it is possible that homeowner will have access to their dashboard using a different name or after they sell their property.
Options for Enrollment
Chimney Home provides two primary options for enrolling account holders, allowing financial institutions to choose the model that best fits their goals and digital environment:
Option 1: Auto-Enroll

- Chimney will run a large file of homeowners, using a variety of data sources to verify their ownership status.

- This method requires minimal effort from users, offering a frictionless way for them to start benefiting from Chimney Home insights right away.
Option 2: Opt-In Model
Targeted Marketing:
- The opt-in model uses targeted marketing campaigns within the bank’s digital banking ecosystem to gradually enroll homeowners.
- These campaigns can include email promotions, push notifications, and in-app messages to build awareness of Chimney Home and guide users through the enrollment process.
