User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Checklist
Welcome to Your Staging and Testing Framework for Chimney Home!
This page ensures a systematic approach to validate data integrity, connectivity, and product functionality before deployment. The process consists of two phases:
Two-Phase Testing Framework
Phase 1: Behavior Testing + Configuration
Overview:
A 1-week testing period to ensure the system works as expected across all platforms with your personalized account settings.
Testing Process:
How does testing work? Testing will take place in the staging environment of your banking app, where you will plug in your test addresses to assess data accuracy in this phase.
Who Should Be Involved in This Stage?:
- Project lead to help coordinate the right stakeholders
- The digital lead to test platforms and devices
- Key stakeholders to validate account configuration and test cases
What Should We Test For?:
- Key Test Areas:
- Device & Platform QA:
- Is the home banking tile live in staging?
- Does the desktop login function properly?
- Does the mobile banking app function properly?
- Account Configuration:
- Does the branding reflect your admin settings?
- Does home borrowing power match your admin settings?
- Offers:
- Does the copy reflect admin settings?
- Does the sorting work properly?
- Can you see all your reflected copy on your banking platform?
- Do your offer links work properly to the correct landing page?
- Journey Testing:
- Do email CTAs link you to the correct screens?
- Do the CTAs work when clicking offers?
- Do the emails come from your correct sender information?
- Device & Platform QA:
Phase 2: Production + Pilot Testing
Overview:
The 1-week testing period after your staging phase is completed ensures data integrity across both staging and the final production environment.
Testing Process:
How does testing work? The Chimney team suggests using your home address for this stage. Testing will take place in the production environment of your banking app. Report any data discrepancies or platform usage issues.
FYI: In production, homeowner verification is turned on, so you cannot test someone else’s address data.
Who Should Be Involved in This Stage?:
- Project Lead: Coordinate stakeholders and oversee testing.
- Digital Lead: Test platforms and devices.
- Key Stakeholders: Validate account configurations and test cases.
What Should We Test For?:
- Ensure all staging phase checks translate accurately to the production environment.
- Verify homeowner data matches property records.
Summary
By following these structured phases, Chimney Home ensures a thorough and efficient launch process, maximizing stakeholder engagement and system reliability!
